Pirates Of The Caribbean Skull Cake
I made this Pirates of the Caribbean Skull cake freehand for my grandson's 10th birthday. The skull and torches sat on a full sheet cakeboard covered in frosting. The waves are tipped with pearl lustre dust. The skull is 6" high, the torches (cake) are 2-1/2" high, and the flames (fondant) are 3-1/2" high. After frosting and shading the skull and flames I covered them with gold lustre dust. It sparkled like real gold in the sunlight! Not perfect, but he loved it!

Pokemon's Dark Dragonite
I made this for my grandson's 9th birthday just last week. I couldn't find a template for it anywhere. I found a picture of a Dark Dragonite on the Internet (I had no idea what one looked like) and I drew my own templates. The cake is made of pound cake with buttercream frosting. I also added a Orange Marmalade filling in the main body of the cake. He loved the cake, as you can see in the picture he started testing the frosting on the cakeboard by his name.

Pokemon's Squirtle
I made this birthday cake last year for my grandson's birthday. He love's Pokemon, but I think he likes more that the arms and legs are made of DingDongs. This cake was made of pound cake. The pieces were carved out, and the supporting templates were made. The frosting was colored, melted, then poured over each section with 3 coatings. The rest was hand decorated and frosted. I decorated the board with sugar cookies that were decorated with poured frosting of different colors.

Alex's Dump Truck Cake
I made this for my nephew's first birthday. I baked two loaves of pound cake. I used one loaf for the bed of the truck, and I cut the second loaf for the cab and dumpster. I carved out the the dumpster section, frosted it, and loaded it with crumbled Oreo's, M&M's, and gummy worms. I decorated the board as a construction site with melted coconut-pecan frosting, little piles of crumbled Oreo's, M&M's, and gummy worms as well.

Underwear Spongebob
I made this for my grandson's 5th birthday. I did not have a template, pan or pattern for this cake. I simply set a stuffed SpongeBob on my counter (my grandson had previously taken off SpongeBobs pants), I cut the sheet cake accordingly, and decorated it with buttercream frosting. I thought the kids would get a kick out of SpongeBob in his underwear, and they did!

Birthday Cake Presents
I wanted to do something a little different for my friends' mothers' 65th birthday party - something I've never seen before. So, using Marshmallow Fondant over the Too Much Chocolate Cake (which everyone just loves, and was requested by my friend), and each with a different filling, I decided to "wrap" the cakes as gifts. They were placed on the gift table with all the other presents as part of the presentation. They were a big hit!

Michelle's Wedding Cake
This cake is red with white trim because the bride's dress was white with red trim. I used Marshmallow Fondant (MMF) on the entire cake, as well as the handmade pearls (dusted with Super Pearl Dust), as well as the bow & sash (in hind sight I should have elimated the sash). Each cake was a different flavor with different fillings. Lot's of fun to make!

Blues Clues 2Nd Birthday Cake
I made this Blues Clues Cake freehand, for my littlest grandsons 2nd birthday. I didn't have a pattern, so I just cut the pieces from pound cake, then I colored & melted the frosting (Duncan Hines Vanilla) and poured it over the cake & background. The 3 little cakes are Blues clues.

"too Much Chocolate" Groom's Cake
I made this groom's cake to go along with the red fondant wedding cake. The cake consists of a double 10" layer on the bottom, and a bundt cake on top. The cake is "Too Much Chocolate" Cake with Raspberry Filling. The frosting is Chocolate Fudge Buttercream and Dark Chocolate Ganache poured over it. I decorated it with Chocolate Covered Strawberries. Everyone, especially the groom, loved it!

My Very First Wedding Cake
The very first wedding cake I've ever made and my first time working with fondant. I used MMF (went on like a dream) and handmade edible pearls. I've never had classes. The cake is red w/ white trim because the bride's dress was white w/ red trim. The 12" cake: White Chocolate w/ White Chocolate whipped cream filling, the 10" cake: Carrot Cake w/Cream Cheese Filling, the 8" cake: Coconut Cake w/ Lemon Supreme filling, and the 6" cake was half White Chocolate, half Chocolate. I loved doing this!
