This is a birthday cake I made for a 74 years old woman who is losing her memory. The bottom tier represents the Rocky Mountains where she grew up. The middle tier represents her graduating from Stanford University and working at the Childrens Hospital in D.C. And the top tier is her when she played baseball in the 40's & 50's.

A fondant covered 2 tier cake. The pink bands arounf each tier and the #8 are covered in pink edible glitter. The little girl was modeled after the birthday girl. The party was a pink and black skull and crossbones party hence the picture on the tee shirt. I even got shoelaces on the shoes, gotta love the details!
A bride and groom cake topper made out of fondant. Her dress was copied from a picture and I used little sugar balls and put each one on with tweezers then painted over them with white luster dust. I copied her hair clip and used silver sugar balls and silver luster dust. Man that was hard (it was so tiny)

Buttercream iced wedding cake with handmade handpainted violets.
I made the Lighthouse, anchor and flags out of fondant. I used a foam cone inside the lighthouse so it was not too heavy for the cake. I used brown petal dust to do the shading between the bricks. The Nautical Flags spell out "Happy Birthday Jeff" The cake was a 2 tier one chocolate and one vanilla with vanilla buttercream.
The Barney was made out of fondant. the cake was a 3 layer vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream.
Castle was made out of fondant and the inside was a foam cube so it was not to heavy for the cake. The castle came off so the birthday girl could keep it. The circle with the wording had a edible glitter backing to it, you can't tell from the picture. the whole cake was dusted with a white sparkle powder. The cake inside was a 4 layer chocolate and vanilla combo with a vanilla buttercream and covered in fondant.
