3-D Elmo
Inspiration from the many Elmo cakes that have already been done. I used buttercream frosting with mereguine powder to help stiffen it. I have included the unfrosted pics too of rice crispy treats dowels supported Elmo. (Well I tried to include that picture but the control freaks on the website won't allow step pictures and removed it.) The little boy who was 3 absolutely loved the cake.

1St Fondant Cake
My first fondant cake. I used Marshmallow Fondant.....yeah. The black however I had a hard time with because I added coco powder and I think it made ti tooooooo dry. It fell apart etc. I had to piece the edges up thus the green edging to hide. First time to make ribbon roses too. Was fun to make...why start small....tackle a big one and a small cake is easy.

Princess Tiara Cupcakes
I made the tiaras by melting almond bark and using candy coloring of purple. Then I piped the tiara pattern onto strips of parchment paper. I then carefully moved the strip in a curved holder (for a lack of a better word) and popped them in the freezer to set. When set I stood them up and added the candy pearls to the points of the tiaras using the melted colored almond bark. I think they were a hit of the preschool for my neighbors little girls birthday.

Ghost Cupcakes
My sons birthday is in October and he wanted a halloween the cupcakes he took to school. I found a ghost shape I liked on line and printed it out. Then I piped melted almond bark and filled it in on parchment paper on a cook sheet. Put it in the freezer until they harden. Added the eyes and mouth and then stood them upright on the cupcakes.

3-D Heart Cupcake
I made 200 cupcakes for a wedding. They wanted 4 different types of cake and then I decorated them 4 different ways. They displayed them on elevated glass cake plates as the table decorations. The hearts I made of almond bark colored with red coloring for candy. I printed out hearts and then traced the hearts on parchment paper. The flowers were fondant cut outs with a edible pearl in the center.
