Edible Image Disaster
The top part of Elmo is how it come out of the edible image printer. The bottom half of Elmo is after I started "painting" his fur red with a food safe brush and Wilton icing gel. Second photo is the end result after I fixed his fur and nose. Still want to fix his eyes before I apply it to the cake this afternoon.

Twins' Sweet Sixteen
I co-worker asked me to make a cake for her twin neices that are turning 16 today. One is girly, the other one not so much. The request was for something simple that they could cut and eat, nothing fancy. After some prying I did find out that they could agree on the color purple so this is the result. I would have prefered to do something more personalized but knowing nothing at all about them much less their names, this was the end result. Vanilla cake using the alphabet pan, buttercream icing in lavender and lavender sugar sprinkles that I couldn't resist adding for some sparkle that don't show up in the picture! I did not have a box big enough to put both numbers on so that is why there is a line in the middle since they are on different boards. Had I have known I could get the supplies back I would have used my large wooden cake board and a large plastic sweater box to transport them on and in but I needed something disposable for this one. TFL!

Dahlia Cupcakes
Have seen these here, in a magazine, on my internet home page, and on Wilton so I just had to try them for Mother's Day. Painted/personalized terra cotta pots for my mom, aunt, & grandma and then turned the cupcakes into a bouquet. First time making these cupcakes and a cupcake bouquet so I am very, very pleased and will be making a set for my daughter's teacher and teacher assistant as an end of year gift
