Yellow And White Reception Cake

This cake was done for a reception at my church. White cake with lemon fondant and lemon bc filling. I was unhappy with the bow because I lost more than half of the loops in transport. The pic shows the few loops that remained intact. TFL!

Buddy Train Cake

Birthday cake for a friend. Her best friend's husband always says that we are all on the buddy train together. So he suggested the idea for this cake. It was very fitting!. Cake board covered in buttercream. piping gel for pond. Trees are icecream cones covered in butterream. Train is chocolate cake covered in fondant. train inspired by theweddingsupper. TFL!

Fruit Of The Spirit

Birthday cake for a dear friend who is diabetic. Scratch cake sweetened only with agave nectar. It is the only sweetener she likes to use. Filling & icing is cream cheese, Cool Whip Free, & a small amount of agave nectar. Fruit is all fondant on a fondant covered board so that the top could be removed leaving only the sugarfree cake. fruit inspired by sassygirlpies. This was so much fun! TFL!

Groom's Cake

I had almost completed this cake when my airconditioner acted up. The buttercream melted. It was such a mess! I stayed up all night and redid the buttercream. Trying to do piping work at 6am without any sleep wasn't easy! Anyway, I managed to salvage the cake and the family was happy with it. I was exhausted and just glad it was done!

Baseball Onesie

Carved chocolate cake filled with chocolate peanut butter buttercream.It is covered in Michelle Foster's fondant. I was told the mother loves chocolate and peanut butter, likes primary colors, and the nursery will be in a sports theme. So this what I came up with. It was a lot of fun to do! TFL.

Africa Birthday Cake

I needed three quick cake ideas for three close friends. I did not have time to try and be very creative. This idea came from this-mama-rocks and Emily212. 2 Layer chocolate cake filled with raspberry filling and chocolate ganache. It is covered with buttercream-hand painted sunset with food coloring mixed with clear vanilla extract. fondant silhouettes- 2 each on the sides of the cake of large & small trees, giraffes & elephants. Silhouette of AAfrica is on the top. This was made for a friend who was a missionary to Africa for 17 years.

I needed three quick cake ideas for last minute birthday gifts for close friends. I did not have much time for being creative. The idea for this cake came from flyingpinkpixie. 9x13 chocolate cake toted and filled with butterscotch pudding and chocolate ganache, covered with buttercream with fondant accents. The court is handpainted with food coloring mixed with clear vanilla extract. I just joined CSM!

Teddy Bear Cake

I talked to my friend this afternoon about my making a birthday cake for her husband. She is picking it up in the morning, so I only had this evening to work on it. I made it simple. I used MMF leftover from another cake project for the decorations. They collect teddy bears so I made one for the top of the cake.

Nativity Cake

I got the idea from other CC members. The cake is alternating layers of butter yellow and devils food with raspberry filling. All decorations are made with MMF. I took it to a church Christmas fellowship dinner. Noone realized it was a cake, they all thought it was a table decoration. Half the poeple went throught he line and it was not touched. until I went over and started cutting it. Everyone loved it . There were not any leftovers!
