For little girl turning 7. 8 and 12 inch rounds, MMF with gumpast water lily, lily pad and flowers. MMF green swirly "vines". Topper supplied by client. Brushed with luster dust and then some extra sparkle dust on top.
I got asked to do this last night for a birthday this morning. Could have been better, but they still thought it was cute. Nautical theme to go with our church's bible camp theme. Two of the organizers birthdays were today. 6 inch round. MMF accents
Cake inspired by all the wonderful designs here on CC. For girl who just broke the school's record for the "steeple jump" which is where the runners jump over a hurdle and a "pool" of water. So that is the race track on the bottom tier. Sorry no close up so it doesn't show up well, but the water is a knox blox. The medal on top is since she broke the record, and she just wanted lots and lots of color. . Thanks for all the wonderful cakes on here to give me ideas.
For baby's first birthday. he was 3 months premature, so still so tiny. All fondant except gumpaste daisies.
WASC 10 and 6 inch. Covered in MMF with sparkle dust.
15x22x4 WASC. Gerberas, daisies and grad hat are all gumpaste. Small blue flowers are MMF. Mom wanted pearls on the cake since her daughter likes pearls. They are MMF covered with pearl dust. A little sparkle dust all over for a little shine. Doesn't show up as well in the photo.
For a good friend's daughter. Inspired by a cake by yummysweettreats. I'm not as good as she is, so i had to make lots of changes to my design. Just wanted something pretty and girly. Buttercream with gumpaste flowers....first time working with gumpaste on these 2 first communion cakes i downloaded. I copied a sprig of flowers i bought until i got it right. :) Small pink flowers are fondant. Lusgter dust on the fondant flowers. Cross is gumpaste made in a mold. Luster dust on tope.

I have to give the credit to "doddy" for the wonderful idea. Unfortunately I couldn't get a great picture of it. It was 5:00 in the morning when i finished it and i forgot to take the photos. So i had to do it when all the guests arrived and there were just too many people around. I don't have a good one with both pages of the book showing. WASC with almond BC, covered in MMF with MMF accents. Chalice is cake covered in MMF. TFL.

Sorry about the quality of the picture but it's the only one i have. The camera was too close, so it has that"fish-eye" distorted look to it. Better than nothing i guess. Carved cake covered in MMF.
This idea was taken from a cake by Biya....thanks for the idea. IT was for a school author night, where the 4th grade class all presented books the had written. All MMF with BC under and side pages...unfortunately right before i delivered it I heard my 2 year old saying "MMMMmmmmm. Yummy! and saw he was eating the buttercream. Those are little fingermarks. Had fun with the luster dust on the apple, marbleing the fondant and the impression mat. The little things make it fun for the kids!
I took the picutre after the big number candle had been put in and pulled out...that's the mark on the blue teir below the star on the yellow tier. All covered in MMF. Figures are MMF also. Pikachu on top, with 3 other characters around the sides. I don't know think they are all visible in the photo.
10 inch and 6 inch rounds. Buttercream with fondant accents. (animals/flowers/baby). It was for a jungle themed baby shower. The fondant baby from that mold is too chyute to eat!! Thank you to all the CC people who gave me great advice on this cake. It was inspired by several of the cake artists on here. Lilo-taart for the flower, Tonia3604 for those adorable amimals, and Klpint who told me how to do the baby mold. There is so much inspiration on this site!!
Huge stadium cake. Short notice, so i couldn't do everything I wanted to it. Buttercream and fondant. Photos aren't the greatest, I couldn't do them myself, because one of my kids was sick so i had to drop it off and go.

Allis-Chalmers Tractor for 2 year old B-day. The family sells this kind of tractor which is why it has the "no john-deere" logo on the hood. Covered in MMF, Wheels are RKT with fondant and luster dust on on the silver tractor parts.
16 inch round WASC pizza cake for a 13 yr.old's birthday. Crust and sauce are buttercream. All the toppings are MMF. Mushrooms and "cooked" edges on pepperoni are petal dust. Darker side of pepper is painted with diluted gel food color. She went crazy when she saw it, which made it very worthwhile!
Many thanks to Tubbs for the inspiration of this from her "Pink Ribbon and Gerberas" cake and it's simple elegance. This was for a close friend who is moving away. Her favorite colors are pink and purple. The Gerberas are hair clips for her two girls, and there is a little purple car hiding under the bottom flower for her little boy. Ribbons are real ribbons. Bottom tier was Neopolatin....1 layer each of chocolate, vanilla and strawberry. It looked so pretty when it was cut. Top layer was spice cake. All iced in buttercream and covered in MMF with luster dust. 6 inch and 10 inch rounds.
For friend's daughter's 10th birthday. This was to look like their dog. It has a stick in it's mouth because whent they found the dog it was carrying a stick. Covered in homemade fondant.....but i have since switched to MMF because it is easier and quicker to make, easier to work with and is so much cheaper!
My daughter wanted this for her 4th birthday. She has a thing for baby ducks. The blankie is to look like hers that she carries around with her and has had since she was a baby. Duck is buttercream, bonnet, blanket and bottle are MMF.
Speed Racer for a friend's little boy's 5th birthday. He loved it. Covered in MMF. Wheels are rice krispie treats covered in MMF, luster dust on the rims. The wheels were the first thing the kids picked off! It was so funny. It looked like they were eating hockey pucks!
For my 7 year old son. He designed the cake. It was llike a flag and those are royal icing fireworks off the top
This was a cupcake castle for my daughter. It was 8 inch rounds. Big "cupcake" was 6 inch rounds. Lot's of buttercream and candy accents!!
This was for a friend's daughter to look like their dog. Covered in homemade fondant, but i have since switched to the MMF recipe here on CC. Much easier to work with.
