We did this for a 13 year olds birthday. She absolutely loved it. Next time, we will definitely put pink paper on the board instead of black so the fondant roses show up better.
Unfortunately, I had no part of this one. My partner did this one completely on her own because I was in the process of moving. She did a wonderful job (as usual).
This cake has lots of different parts. EVERYTHING is almost completely edible. All the "pottery" was made with pastiage and all had hand-painted designs. We had SOOO much fun creating this cake.
I painted this picture on a piece of rice paper and then airbrushed around it for the "frame" look. Debbie (my cake creation partner) helped walk me through the piping... hehe
This cake was actually made and donated to the PTSA for one of their events. We had a lot of fun creating this one.
This cake was ordered for someones boyfriend who is a real live arborist. The tree is made out of modeling chocolate. I even carved their initials into the tree. :) They loved it.
My partner made this one on her own. The beer bottles are poured sugar with the labels made out of edible image paper. This was a surprise for my hubby... :) It was awesome.
My partner and I just finished this cake last Wednesday. Vanilla cake, with vanilla buttercream, covered with Satin Ice fondant. We used pastiage to make most of our detail parts of the boat.
