My Daughter's 17Th Birthday Cake
I was curious about icing sheets so I tried Duff's new line since I could buy them at my local store. My daughter prefers canned icing over homemade buttercream so I used that but it was hard. I smoothed it out as much as possible. Inside is a vanilla cake with confetti sprinkles. Bow is 50/50 gumpaste and fondant. Second photo is to show the top sheet (barely). It was hot pink with zebra stripes.

Scooby Doo Sweet 16 Birthday
This was the biggest cake I have made. It was tough and everything that could go wrong, did. I think I might need to change my cake recipe and start using a firmer cake that holds up better when stacking and carving. My cake was even and looked great until I started applying the fondant.

40Th Birthday
Loved the sugar diamonds. So beautiful. Biggest error on this is not using a firmer buttercream filling. It make the cake hard to work with because it kept bulging out. But it has such a good flavor. Anyone know of a really good buttercream icing that is also stable enough for stacking or carving. It is a 5 inch and 8 inch square cake.

Fondant "miss You" Flower Cake
I made this for a friend on her last day at work. It was only the 2nd time I had used fondant but want to practice as much as possible. I feel I did great on the corners. Was a little short on time and would have done some things differently but overall I like it. She loved it. Did not want to cut it!
