Black and yellow color scheme for my daughter's 29th birthday. She loves doves and her favorite number is 7 so I incorporated 7 doves on her cake. It was The Cake Bible white chocolate whisper cake, tweaked to increase density, with lemon moussiline buttercream, and raspberry buttercream filling covered in Toba Garrett's fondant Jennifer Dontz style using candy clay.

This was my first try at MMF and working with fondant in general really. I hadn't had a class yet and had not watched Jennifer Dontz or Sharon Zambito's DVD's yet. The dreaded bulge is obvious on this cake! I have learned a lot for this site and tutorials I have watched as well as my DVD's and CC forums since then!
This cake was so rich even a glass of milk wasn't able to hold it's own! It was a double chocolate cake and peanut butter frosting - so good :-)

This was for an Italian themed dinner party. The "parmesan" is shaved white chocolate.
After doing the basket weave technique I think I will name this cake the carpal tunnel cake... It looks really cool once it's all done but it takes time for sure.
