Louisiana Lagniappe
I made this cake for our very first cake competition. The theme for the category that I entered was "Sweet Louisiana". This is a 34in X 34in board covered with nearly 300 gumpaste squares to look like a checkered table cloth. The crawfish pot is covered in fondant and all of the crawfish, potatoes, corn are made of gumpaste. We made the boiling water by pouring poured sugar over ice. The alligator is molded with rice crispies, covered in fondant and then airbrushed. The last detail and my favorite is the edible newspaper which is a copy of the New Orleans area paper the day after the Saints won the superbowl!!! This cake won first place in the Sweet Louisiana category and overall best of show in it's division. TFL!!!

Princess Frog Themed First Birthday Cake
This cakes original design had bumble bees, but the mother wanted us to add a frog instead in memory of her neice who passed away not even a year ago from a brain tumor. She loved frogs. Fully Rely On God! It was an honor to make this cake for them. Thanks for looking!

Popcorn Tower
This was made for a little boy having his birthday party at the movie theatre! The bucket is WASC and the popcorn is made of marshmallows, we colored the center with americolor egg yellow mixed with sweet buttery emulsion flavoring. The cupcake liners we ordered online. The tower is made to look like movie reels. We made the tower ourself out of cake drums and used empty icing containers covered with paper between the drums. This cake was SO much to make! TFL!
