Hydrangea Wedding Cake For Christine
Bride wanted a simple, but elegant wedding cake. Cake is 12?, 10?, 8?, 6? with a 6? hydrangea ball on top. The cake is frosted with swiss meringue buttercream, then covered in modeling chocolate. Many thanks to Jacqueline Butler for her help and guidance with the hydrangeas and ball construction (get her video or, if you ever have a chance, take a class from her. . . . . awesome lady and wonderful instructor! Such knowledge of colors and flower design), and thanks to the sweet Viola Doyle (another great instructor and designer) for her suggestion to make lots and lots of flowers. Wedding Cake With Gold Accents
Bride requested a cake with flowers, ribbons, and some bling. Cake sizes are 12, 10, 8, 6, and 4 1/2 inch. There were also two cutting cakes. All cakes are iced with swiss meringue buttercream, wrapped with white modeling chocolate, adorned with satin ribbon, then decorated with sugar paste flowers. Flowers were originally going to be white chocolate, but due to the extreme heat (110), went with sugar flowers. Flavors included vanilla bean with lemon curd filling, chocolate with rich chocolate swiss meringue buttercream, and vanilla bean with pineapple cream filling. Thanks for looking.

Pretty In Pink 50Th Wedding Anniversary
Cake covered in modeling chocolate as well as the flowers. Buttons done with fondant mixed with tylose, then painted with a luster dust mixed with high percentage alcohol. 8 and 6 inch red velvet cake with cream cheese filling covered with swiss meringue buttercream. Much heart-felt thanks to all the amazing cakers out there for the inspiration for this cake.

Hawaiian Happy Birthday
Made this cake for a girl's 18th birthday. Mom said she loved dogs, cats, Hawaii, was going to be a vet tech, and loved the color pink. Oh, and wanted an hibiscus, too! Thanks, stevinix, for the wave inspiration. Wish I could have done it as nicely as you. Figures are gumpaste. 10" cake is covered in swiss meringue, then modeling chocolate. Red velvet with cream cheese filling.

Waiting For Baby Brother
Cake for a special friend's daughter-in-law. Little white bird represents the 2 year old waiting "Big " sister; blue birds mom and dad. Birds, nest, sign, and egg are gumpaste. The decorations on cake are modeling chocolate as well as the covering on the cake. Top tier 6" vanilla bean with lemon curd filling. Bottom Tier 9" chocolate with cream cheese chocolate filling. Cake were frosted with swiss meringue buttercream before modeling chocolate was applied. Fun cake to make.

Present Cake Wrapped In White Chocolate
12', 8", 5" each 8" high double layer. Each tier had chocolate cake with salted caramel filling, and white cake with passion fruit filling. All layers were coated with Italian meringue buttercream, then wrapped in white chocolate. Roses, filler flowers, and bows are white chocolate. Cranes are fondant. I would like to give a BIG shout out to Cammie for answering my many questions on how to build, support, and deliver such a large cake (which, by the way, had to travel for 3 hours in 100 degree weather), and to the most wonderful Richard Festen for teaching me his wonderful technique of working with chocolate and design. These are remarkable people!
