for my friends mum's 81st birthday . wanted to create her something simple but elegant for her age .

was trying out a gumpaste tiara ! except I forgot the middle part !! doh !

really wanted the baby in a massive opening flower .... then we had torential rain , I lost the flower and saved the baby
after I got hooked on baking I went on a basics course and we did this . I was pretty pleased . untill I saw planet cakes basics !!!!!! oh to live there lol
brief was 3 cakes to represent each part of the invite
I used to think this cake was passable , but the stencilling (1st time ) was too heavy and the heart well .... if anyone knows how to side stencil without 4 hands please let me know lol
ahh I loved this cake , made it beginining of this year . my 71 year neighbour loves garening and is quite ill, so I made her this in her favourite colours , its supposed to be a watering can ! yeah never made one and just kinda did it before reading the advice doh not great ! anyway she loved it so much , made both our days :)
hmm ok , my dad has always had roses growing up , so on fathers day I made him this , as he hates iced cakes . So he got the uniced cake and this lol. Its not the greatest as I had not been doing it long

decided to do a square (1st time ) believing it to be easier than round ! oh what a foolish woman ! you live and learn through every piece of sugar craft
