I love making these (this is my 4th or 5th attempt) as they are so easy. Bake the cake in a bowl; cut two sides to a point (for the nose); cover in chocolate buttercream and then go to town with the chocolate buttons. Yum

My first attempt at a Polka Dot cake - inspired by similar seen on CC. Wasn't too sure about the wires sticking out the top, but actually looked better than expected (and better than shown in the photo!).
Christmas tree cupcakes made for my kids' school fete. Made a little less sweet (and more surprising) by putting a rolo inside the icing to get height rather than building up the tree using icing alone. Fondant stars painted with gold glitter dust (but doesn't show well in the photo).

My first attempt at a spider. Made for my kids' school fete. Chocolate sponge with buttercream filling. Covered in fondant. Legs are thin strips of black card bent at the top and "stuck" down with fondant "feet".
