Fisher Price Little People Cake
This was a birthday cake for my daughter's second birthday. The icing is Wilton's Whipped Icing (the dry mix you add water to). Everyone went nuts for the icing. It is not too sweet and very fluffy- the perfect alternative to buttercreme. The little people decorations (Sonya Lee and Freddie/Eddie) are colorflow. I was afraid of breakage, so I used an exacto-knife to cut out the characters and left them on the waxed paper. They were easy to peel off and the color did not bleed onto the cake. The drawings were off of the Little People website- birthday party placemats.

Penn State Cakes
This cake was made to honor a Penn State professor in our family who passed away. The blue isn't the right blue. Next time, I will take the time to buy the right color gel rather than trying to achieve it on my own. I put the logo on the cake by using a piping gel transfer and then coloring it in.

1St Birthday Cake Butterfly Kisses
The cake was for my daughter's 1st birthday. The icing is buttercreme. All flowers/bugs are fondant/gum paste. The design is from the book Sweet and Simple Party Cakes by Mae Clee-Cadman. I followed her instructions almost exactly except I made dragonflies in addition to the butterflies. I used a daisy cookie cutter to make the dragonflies by cutting off some of the petals.
