This is the first cake that I made just free handing all the elements. The leaves and the acorns are made out of fondant. I then used food coloring for definition. I was so pleased with how this turned out. I just need to work on my writing A BUNCH. But other than that I am so thrilled.
This cake was made for opening day of the Sooner Football Season. This was my first time using a combination of Fondant and Buttercream. My family loved the cake but my nephew said "the red stuff taste funny" last time I will buy Wilton Fondant. lol
This is the photo of my daughter's first birthday cake. The top tier has the castle with the little princess made of fondant. I made all the elements of the this cake. Everything was edible but the castle towers... I cheated. This is the first big cake that I made so I was soooo pleased with how it turned out. Not bad, Mommy!!!
