Army Tank Birthday Cake
3D Army Tank cake for a little boy's birthday. Everything is edible besides the back two antennas. The large missile shooter thing (that's my very technical name for it ;o) is a pretzel covered in fondant. The dirt is chocolate ganache mixed with crushed chocolate chips. It was my first time using my airbrush, so I was very pleased with how it turned out and I don't know how I ever lived without the thing! TFL! :)

Icing Smiles- Puppy Dogs And Butterflies
This was my 4th cake for Icing Smiles. It was for two sisters who were celebrating their birthdays this month. They recently lost their big brother to cancer and we wanted to do a special cake to celebrate what great sisters they were to him while he was going through treatment. TFL! :)

Spiderman Street Scene Cake
I was excited to do this cake because it was a design I have been wanting to do for a while- so when a friend wanted a Spiderman-themed cake I jumped on the opportunity! I was really inspired by the Lego Batman cake that Elisa Strauss made, so I decided to do a similar style comic book street scene. This was also very large- I bought the biggest baseboard I could find. ;) The two buildings are a dingy green (what I was going for ;) and since I still don't have an airbrush I used petal dusts for the first time to give me all the shaded effects. The crazy thing about this cake was that it was bought as a show piece for the party! lol It was not eaten until after the party was over. I loved this cake- definitely one of my all-time favorites. :)

My First Cake For Icing Smiles
This is the first cake I donated to Icing Smiles- so many of you have volunteered to help, it was really amazing! If you haven't checked them out find them on Facebook or visit their website, Awesome cause! This cake was even more special to me because this was for my cousin, HJ. :) (It was a complete coincidence that I was asked to do his cake! ) He was turning 2 this past weekend and I heard that his toy elephant, "Wubby", is his most favorite thing in the world. So, that is what I set out to make! :) Everything is edible besides the actual head. Ears, bow, stars, numbers are gumpaste. Legs and arms are RKT. Hat is a Sugar cone. The payoff for the whole thing was when HJ saw the cake and said "Wubby"! So I think I got it right. :) It was so great to be able to give back!

"little Buckaroo" Baby Shower Cake
"Little Buckaroo" themed baby shower cake. Bottom tier is made to look like a pair of blue jeans- pockets, belt, belt loops and belt buckle with a lasso around the bottom. Middle tier is a cow print. Top tier is made to represent a handkerchief that matched the party decor. Sleeping baby buckaroo on top covered with a cow print blankie. My favorite part of the cake was the 'wood grain' base board and sign that says "Welcome Little Buckaroo". Each slab was individually cut, marked and painted to look like real wood. Accents included are stars, sunflowers, horseshoe and lasso Add a caption "Little Buckaroo" Baby Shower cake. This cake was alot of fun! 3-tier fondant cake.
