This is my first wedding cake and first topsy-turvy cake. I made it inspired by a photo I found on CakeCentral- I don't remember the author, but I'm very grateful :). I was very nervous making it, because I know how important part of a wedding party is a cake. I'm not 100% pleased with the figurine of the groom, but I was doing my best. TFL.
I was trying to make this figurine as much Tinker Bell like as possible. I just couldn't make those "Tinker Bell eyes", though I was trying to make them with fondant and paint them by hand. Eventually it ended up with a figurine of a fairy with Tinker Bell skirt and hair. TFL.
My client wanted cake with My Little Pony and a lot of colorful details. I figured out something like that. All is fondant, the pony is hand- painted. TFL.
Cake made with strawberry buttercream. The decoration is all made of fondant. Fairy figurine is gumpaste.
