Guardian Angels
The effect on the fondant covered base of this cake represents smoke. The boots and the large red helment are made from marshmellows and krispy cereal. The Angel Wings of course represent the Firefighters of the past, present and future. All of the items on the cake are handmade except the small helments on the front of the cake and the gloves laying by the helment. I used candy molds to create the small helments and used a cookie cutter for the gloves. My son loved it as did his buddies! It was a pure joy to create.

Fall Themed Wedding Cake
This cake was for a friends wedding. I made the molds for the grapes that you see on the sides of the wedding cake and at the base of the cake. The bottom layer was spice cake, the middle layer was red velvet and the top layer was vanilla. I found some non toxic double stick tape to keep the ribbon in place. It worked beautifully.

The Hidden Castle
This 3 tiered cakes top layer is made from rice cereal. The bottom layer is vanilla cake with lemon curd and the 2nd layer is a stawberry cake. I covered the entire cake with fondant. I decorated it with my hand made characters, flowers etc. which were made out of fondant and gumpaste. I used royal icing for the vines. Sparkling sugars were used for the top of the tower, for the Frog Prince's crown, on the butterflies and for the walkway to the pink door. I wanted to create something different from anything that I've ever seen or done and I think I accomplished that goal. I hope that everyone loves it as much as I loved creating it!

Graduation Odu 2011
This cake was so much fun to create. I imagined the room of a recent graduate and that is how I came up with this idea. Most everything is created out of fondant. For the pizza I used rice cereal for the base, red buttercream icing for the sauce and yellow fondant for the cheese. I place the pizza in my microwave oven for a few seconds to melt the fondant so it would look like real cheese. My favorite thing on the cake is the floor!
