6in. is frosted with whipped cream. 9x13 is frosted with BC. Zebra stripes were cut out of black sugar sheet. The bow was supposed to be a deep plum purple, but it got darker overnight :/
Black parts are sugar sheet, Michelangelo is a toy and the rest is fondant.

Chocolate cake with cream cheese buttercream. Baby, dog tags and letters made out of fondant. After putting all the pieces on the cake, I realized I needed something more to fill in the space.

I used those sugar sheet things and was pleased how well they worked for these silhouettes. Flag was made out of MMF and the stripes and blue field were painted on. The whipped cream started to melt on the way because of the heat in the vehicle and my border fell off. I got the inspiration from someone here on CC, just can't remember who. Whoever you are, thank you! :)
Arizona Memorial and Tomb of the Unknown Soldier This was a quick cake I made with my family. Butter pecan cake with maple buttercream frosting. Memorials were made out of RKT and covered in MMF. Printed out the inscription on paper to stick to the side of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The soldier's gun is actually a piece of a Play Mobile set. So glad it was the right size because I wouldn't have been able to make one!
Pineapple cake with vanilla buttercream frosting. I made the sand out of equal parts of graham cracker and brown sugar. I used the Wilton method for making the palm trees. They didn't make it to the party, one tree only had three leaves and the other had one leaf. Not sure if a longer drying time would've helped. I used cookie sticks for the palm tree trunks and 'fencing' around the cake. All the other little decorations were out of MMF, except for the umbrellas, of course. For the water, I used piping gel colored blue, put some frosting tinted light green underneath. I used Carolyn's hibiscus cake from Terrisa as a guide in making the water. Thanks Terrisa!

Red layer is strawberry cake with red food coloring added, the white layer is vanilla ice cream, and the blue layer is white cake with blue food coloring. It is frosted with whipped topping.
