This was a grooms cake made to look like a companion cube from the computer game, Portal. I had no idea what it was, but I made the cake like the picture they showed me and the groom flipped. He loved it!

This cake was made to celebrate 7 different birthdays. A group of friends all had their birthdays under the Zodiac Sign "Leo" -- which is symbolized by the lion. So this chocolate cake has 3 fondant lions with their names in a circle around the cake. I wish I had enough room for 7 lions! The lions are fondant, but their manes are made of buttercream.
The nursery for this baby had pink stripes and green polka dots -- hence the design of the cake. The butterfly and "baby" design on top of the cake were inspired directly from the paper plates used at the shower.
The little boy wanted a "Cars" (the movie) cake. The only problem was that it wouldn't feed all the people coming to the party. So I used the Cars pan, and added it on top of a square cake. I made the square cake green -- like grass -- and put a black fondant race track around the entire cake. The race track had lines down the middle -- to look like a road -- but also read "Happy Birthday Benjamin" on it. It's kinda hard to see in the pictures.
I made this coconut cake for my Uncle's wedding. The bottom tier is 14-inches, and it got smaller from there. I wish I could post a picture with me in it to show how tall it was. The top of my head was level with to top of the cake!! I don't care for the way this cake looks, but it tasted AMAZING, and I was so proud that it did not lean, shake, or wobble in the least little bit.

The theme of the baby shower was "Frogs and Lily Pads." The lilies were pink because the baby was a girl. The icing was buttercream, but all decorations were fondant (leaves were royal icing). The frog is entirely fondant.

This is an ice cream cake. I was afraid it would melt if I tried to decorate it, so I simply added cut Reese's Cups to the top to form a circle, and added shaved chocolate around the edges of the cake.

Birthday cake to feed quite the crowd! It was covered in "drop flower trees" as I called them. The icing colors used for the flowers were derived all from purple. Meaning, I dyed all the icing purple. To some of it I added pink, to some of it I added blue, and to some of it I added more purple. That way the icing differed but still matched.
This cake represents the cross at Easter -- it has a purple robe draped across it, a crown of thorns, and Easter lilies at the foot of the cross.
This Easter basket is a round cake cut into the shape of a basket. The handle is fondant, but would have been better as gumpaste. Basket-weave technique was used around the cake. It was filled with cookies in the shape of Easter eggs. They were painted with royal icing.
