This was my first belly cake which I did in the summer of last year. I thought it turned out quite well for a first time doing one! :)
I did this cake last year and loved it! Clearly it was for a 50th wedding anniversary and it was mid October so the theme was perfect! The clients were more than thrilled, as was I!

Wow ... I haven't been here in over a year! I figured it might be time to put up some photos again so here's a cake I did in June for a 40th anniversary party. All vanilla, vanilla B.C. fondant and real roses.
I'm so pleased with the turnout of this cake as the client gave me a photo and it turned out exactly like it. :) I wsn't sure if it would work well but it did and I lover her! Head is a 9 inch and ears are 5 inch and she's all chocolate. (and a vegan cake at that!)
My first wedding cake and I am SO pleased with the result! :D White cake with vanilla BC, covered in fondant and all piping done with RI. Fake flowers, leaves and baby's breath. Can't wait to hear back from the bride and groom on what they thought of it!
Baby shower cuppies so what would be more appropriate than mums? :) The other half of the batch were white with pink, purple and brown polka dots to match the plates but I only wanted to display the floral cuppies. I had seen these done a few times and wanted to try them myself so I jumped at the chance when I was given the order and told to do whatever I wanted.

I felt like making a dummy wedding cake with brown and pink so that's just what I did. I've only been decorating for a few months so I wanted to practice a little more so I came up with this. I ran out of brown colouring or else it would have been much darker but I like the idea of the cake. I like "cute" wedding cakes and I think it's pretty darn cute.
I had done this cake for a friend a few months ago (only sans butterflies and larger) when I had an order for it only with butterflies included. The girl who ordered it LOVED it so I'm hoping her mother did too. French vanilla with strawberry mousse and vanilla BC! Butterflies are gumpaste with RI on top, MMF covered cake and all BC flowers.
I was asked to make a Wolverine cake ... so I did! The client didn't have any input other than "make a Wolverine cake" so let's hope she's happy and that the b-day boy loves it too!
I was asked for a small cake with NO PINK including inside jokes between the client and the b-day girl so this is what I came up with. All the jokes are in the stars around the cake. The client didn't know what she wanted (believe me, it was hard just to get her to decide on a shape for the cake and flavours!) so I'm sure she'll be happy with this! :)
A friend of mine wanted a gluten and lactose free cake for her sister with shoes and purses incorporated in the design so this is what I gave her. I had never made a gumpaste shoe before and was pleased with the result of my very first one! Pearl dust all over the shoe and cake with little different coloured purses and dagrees around the side. :)
This is a cake I made as a donation for a Cake Walk at my friend's school. I figured something elegant wouldn't float the kids boats so I went with CANDY! I had originally put conversation hearts on the side but didn't like it so I replaced them with the red hearts but as everything else was already on the cake I couldn't get my BC smooth enough without hitting jelly beans or candy corns so it's messy! Good thing is, kids won't care! Some kid is going to be wired for a month!
Birthday cake for a friend's 30th birthday. She requested the colour scheme and asked for something floral so that's what she got! Cake is white with custard filling, vanilla BC and covered in fondant.
My dad is obsessed with his iPhone so his birthday cake this year will be just that. I left a blank space for Happy Birthday Dad but once I saw it was the space too small I had to leave it blank so he's missing the YouTube application on the cake. Ah well. Cake is chocolate fudge with chocolate BC and covered in chocolate fondant. All square applications were made out of gumpaste and pictures added with edible markers. I hope he likes it!
I have only made 3 cakes so far but this one is my fav.! I love fall colours so I knew when I started making cakes in the summer that I wanted to do a fall themed cake and had my chance. I'm really pleased with it and quite frankly don't want it to be eaten b/c I'm so happy with it. It's chocolate cake, chocolate buttercream and MMF with store bought pumpkin candies. :) Hope you like it!
