This cake was for my Grandfather's 80th birthday. I saw a similiar cake here on CC and it is originally for Collette Peter's book. I ordered the book and directions were easy to follow. I didn't have the right tip for the lettuce icing but I was happy with everything else
This was a groom's cake for a big FSU fan. Decorations are made out of chocolate. Cake covered in tan fondant and then airbrushed gold, shimmer powder added on top
Cake baked with Wilton sports ball pan. White cake with buttercream icing and fondant icing. Rolled fondant just a tad thicker than normal in order to have room to make the indentions.
CHocolate cupcakes, covered with fondant, mounded buttercream underneath/ fondant bows and ears
Used the Wilton sports ball pan, fondant ears and bow/ Saw this idea here on CC
This was a cake I made in a fondant class. Please forgive the bare cake board. The bow is made from fondant with tylose powder (= gumpaste) and then embossed with a paisley pattern. I marbled with fondant with hunter green food coloring.
The cupcakes were made from scratch, but the icing was from a can. I heated it in the microwave and then dipped the cupcakes
This cake was adapted from another cake that my friend sent me a picture of. This was red velvet cake. I tinted the fondant tan and then air brushed the brown. This was my first time using fondant, first time with a tiered cake, and first time with the air brushing.
