I made this for my daughter's seventh birthday today. She saw this online months ago and instantly put in her request for her birthday:)
I made this cake for my niece's birthday this weekend. I used a whipped icing, and it didn't crust over, so I couldn't smooth it out like I like. I did Spongebob using the frozen buttercream transfer technique found here in the article section.
I made this cake for my final cake in the Wilton Fondant Gumpaste class. It was actually for my best friend's daughter's baby shower. Everyone loved it. The brown fondant is a homemade MMF. The cake was two layers of French Vanilla cake iced with homemade chocolate buttercream.
This is my first fondant cake:) I am taking the Wilton Fondant Gumpaste course, and am having a blast!!! The little flowers are leftovers I had from Course 2 that I just put on to add a little color and dimension for the photo.
Here is my final cake for Course 2 of the Wilton classes. I really enjoyed learning the rope border and basketweave;)
I made this photo for my best friend's son's birthday. I wanted to try a technique on the top that I had seen in a book. I really like how the flowers turned out. Since the cake was for a boy, I decided to throw some sprinkles on it so it wouldn't look too girly;)
I made this class tonight during my last class for course 1. I am so excited to learn how to make roses!!!
Wilton Course 1, Cake 2 I know the clown on the side is very long and skinny, but it was my first time:) Plus I did not have enough icing made to go back and make him fatter:)
This is the cake I did during the second class of course 1. The zigzag border is not very even, but I had fun making it!
