My aunty wanted a special cake for her friends 50th birthday. After seeing some cakes I did for my kids school, she decided on an 8" square basket filled with her friends favorite coloured daisies. I wish I had more pictures because the white basket weave was quite stunning. Iced in buttercream. The daisies and tag are fondant. The butterflies are not edible.

I volunteered to make to cakes for my children's school for a thank you brunch the parents put on for the teachers. I made two because there are two campuses. They needed some convincing to cut into them! Vanilla fudge cake with raspberry cream filling. Iced in buttercream and decoratd with fondant daisies. The butterflies are not edible. I didn't have time to try my hand at rice-wrapper buterflies. Each cake was 14" (the basket part).
This almond sheet cake was iced in buttercream icing. I used a cobblestone press on the buttercream road and decorated with marshmallow fondant windmill, tulips, and figurine of my Pa. He is dutch so I wanted to incorporate that into the cake. It was a big hit!
Birthday Cake for my son and neice. I used marshmallow fondant to ice and kool-aide to flavour and colour the cake batter.
This was a joint effort with my girlfriend for our childrens kindergarden class. It was a 16" chocolate cake (hills are cake too!) with chocolate pudding filling. Buttercream and MM fondant icing. The figures are fondant too. Thanks to the other CCers who provided the inspiration! Needless to say it was a big hit!
Chocolate cake with buttercream icing and smarties. Birthday boy picked the shaped pan. Not my personal favorite but, the birthday boy was pleased.
Sugar cookies with royal icing. Two boys + extra yellow and black icing + cookie dough = dump truck cookies and happy boys (husband included)!

I had to do this one! (Wow, did I just say that!) My Uncle Larry has a great sence of humor and loved it! It was a smaller party so the "floor" is only an 11" x 7". The toilet was carved, toilet bowl a mini wonder pan (Wilton). White chocolate cake with coconut cream filling. Buttercream and MM fondant icing. Gumpaste lid, Eatmore candybar poos, piping gel toilet water, fondant accents (TP, mat, flower bowl on tiolet) Plunger was a mini cupcake. TFL! (Oh, there's a hole in the poo close up from the candle)

This is my first flower pot cake. I made it for my mom's birthday. She doesn't like MM fondant so I used buttercream icing. Next time MM fondant for sure (for the pot) to give it a more realistic look. All flowers, leaves and sign are fondant. White cake with custard filling. Only problem is the cake fell apart 5 minutes from my mom's!!!!! Lots factored into this disaster - 2 hr drive, too many dowels (cake was sliding from filling), very bumpy detour last 1/2 hr of drive!
Thanks to the other CCer would gave me instructions on the wine bottle. I didn't follow them excactly but I will next time for sure for a better end result! Gum paste wine bottle, chocolate cake with cream cheese filling, chocolate butter cream icing and MM fondant cloth, grapes, and wine label. This was a huge hit at the party, a few people couldn't find the cake and wondered who brought the basket with wine!
I couldn't resist making these for the guys re-doing the water lines in our front street. I added chopped chocolate to the buttercream icing to give it more of a dirt look. Signs and hard hats are MM fondant. I'm hoping they'll remember the cupcakes when they're digging close to my flower beds!
This is a white chocolate cake with white chocolate, berry buttercream filling. I used the wilton daisy pan and covered it with MM fondant. I made the bee with a mini bear pan (same kind of cake) , modified it and covered it with buttercream. The wings are MM fondant and the hat is a fondant covered ice cream cone. This was my gift for my cousins little boy. This was also my first time making MM fondant ..... I love working with it and everyone actually ate the fondant!
