I probably bit off more than I could chew for my third cake ever, but my best friend is from Peru, and I had to surprise her with Machu Picchu when she asked for a cake for her birthday. My buttercream totally flopped, so I didn't get to decorate the mountain or the grass like I wanted to. Chocolate cake on the left, Rum cake on the right. Mountain is RKT. Buttercream and fondant.
This is my second cake. I got to sculpt things this time! Thought it would be a disaster, but the cats turned out better than I thought! Still want to be better at fondant. My favorite was the little mouse trap.
My first cake. Ever. Devil's food cake with white bc on bottom tier and chocolate bc on top two. All decorations are fondant. The little black thing on the right is a scuba diver...head and fins.
