The Sparrow Dancers Of Japan
Greetings, this cake was created for the Rehoboth Beach Film Festival. A group of dancers from Japan called, The Sparrow Dancers were performing and this cake was created as a tribute/treat for them. This is one of my favorites, so far. I had help from my children. I hope you enjoy it - Duane E Smith. Visit my site cakesmith.net and you can preview the actual dancers - dancing and enjoying their cake.

Sweet Pea - Baby Shower Cake
Well, it is almost finished. I need to clean it up and ad some petal dust here and there to give a little more definition. I think it turned out VERY cute. What do you all think? Not bad for an old artist just getting into cake decorating. Maybe I can stop being a starving artist - hahahaha. The cake is a combination of cake (pea pod), rice krispy treats, foam (head), and fondant. It is approximately 2' wide, 2' high, and 1' deep.

Spawn
Greetings, I have been a lover of super heroes for over 40 years. So, when I saw the contest - I was excited. What should I do - Superman, Spiderman, Ironman - oh so many. Then, my daughter said what about SPAWN. Just so you know SPAWN is a super heroe. He may have started out a little rough, but then he got his act together and started helping people. This cake is VERY heavy - it has about 15 pounds of fondant alone and took a total of around 15 hours. The SPAWN figure is made of rice krispy treats and the masoleum is cake w/fondant. Everything else is fondant well except the little bats and greenery. I hope you all enjoy it and I have many other photos, if anyone is interested. The photos don't do it justice.
