A friend of mine from USA bought me a cookie/orea pan mold as a gift. Since my daughter, Allison celebrates 7th b'day, she wants me to make ice-cream just like her sister. So I thought to give a try with this new cookie pan & it was a success!
My step-daughter & her boyfriend came to visit us in Singapore for two (2) weeks. Happened to be her boyfriend's birthday around the corner & I decided to make from scratch a simple ice-cream chiffon cake, I learnt from my class few days ago. It turns out this "Ice Cream Chiffon Cake" is a top hit!
My husband celebrate his 58th birthday on Easter Day! I've been doin some searching for an idea to bake him an Easter Cake....I saw lots with Bunny & Basket Weave or Eggs In a Basket.....I asked myself why don't I do both combination & happen I've lots of chocolate sticks & candies in my fridge so all I need to bake is Vanilla cake from Billy's Vanilla Cupcake & Buttercream recipe as per hubby's requested. I'm happy with this simple deco for my darling.....And my kids love them too especially all the candies & chocolate on these beautiful cake....
It's my two angel's birthday, Ashley (8 yrs old) & Lauren (2 yrs old). My Lauren loves to ride carousel each time we went to mall. She's a fan of Mickey Mouse but her most fav is Minnie....My elderest daughter goes along with her lil sister as their birthday falls on the same month but just couple of days apart....
It's my 1st time using piping gel. Before that I used FBCT and it's alot of work & time consume. So, I do some research on how to use gel to do a picture on the cake. Not many thou & I couldn't find any piping gel here in Singapore. But I found a website called "Homemade Piping Gel" and I did myself a gel. This is the result of it and my kids love it and I'm proud that I can do it!
This is my 2nd FBCT cake I've made. 1st time I made for my friend's daughter who loves WINX CLUB. My daughter asked me if I can do the same but she like Musa because she thou that she looks like Musa. So here I am fulfill my daughter's wishes for her birthday.
Just completed my 1st frosted buttercream transfer cake today. A friend of my order for her daughter whose a fan of WINX CLUB asking me if I could do for her. I took the challenge & agree! Mind u, I was unsure bcos it's my 1st time doin this with frosted buttercream cake transfer (FBCT) instead of printed edible picture! My hubby was impress & now I'm confidence to do it again & again!
I used wafer cup cones to make cupcakes. I filled the batter into the cup cones and baked them in the oven as you baked the cupcakes. Frosted with buttercream and sprinkled mini chocolates and top with candy butterfly.....I make these for the kids at my daughters birthday party.....It is a BIG hit! Kids love them....
I baked this cake for my best friend's daughter who is 16 yrs old. She been asking her dad to buy iPhone for her b'day. So, I decided to give her a surprise birthday cake since I could not effort to get one for her.....She was surprised when I brought the b'day cake....
A neighbor of mine asking me if I can baked princess cake for her daughter who turns 2 yrs old. I'm happy to do it as I've been wanting to bake this princess cake decorated with mini cupcakes. It's not easy as I've to baked 65 mini cupcakes for the skirt. End result is very satisfactory by my neighor. Her daughter was so happy & lots of guests asking how I baked it.....

My son whom is 4yrs old requested me to do "Special Agent Oso" for his birthday. I decided to do chocolate cupcakes (mind you it's 55 cupcakes for his class) with fondant. His classmates were so excited to see these wonderful theme....they begin to sing the song.....Step1......Step 2....Step 3....etc I'm glad my son is happy with his birthday cupcakes.
My niece saw Barbie Cake I baked for my daughter couple of weeks ago. She asked me if I can bake one for her b'day last Saturday. I thought of something different & decided to make jelly. I used Wilton's mould for doll's skirts. It takes lots of patient & time as I've to do layer by layer with different colours. End result is very satisfying!
It's my daughter's 5th b'day. She loves princesses & decided to bake a mini princess. This time round I bake mini princess as I was so busy. I've been haunting for a small doll but couldn't find any till I saw this lil cute doll (handphone strip)! As usual, I loves to use Betty Crooker (Premix) - Yellow Cake. I used mini mould for a skirt which I bought from Wilton's website. The butter cream icing (vanilla flavour) is a homemade icing. I sprinkle color sugar on the skirts & add some tiny flowers for the finishing touch....
This is my 1st Barbie Doll cake requested by my eldest daughter for her 5th b'day. I loves to use premix ~ Betty Crockers (Yellow Cake). For this Barbie, I used 3 boxes of Betty Crockers - 2 boxes for the skirt mould (Wilton) & 1 box for the base of 8" round pan. As for the frosting, I used strawberry frosting & add 3-4 drops of pink food color. And to be more interesting, I added sugar flower around the based & couple on the waist of the Barbie to cover the big hole when my hubby tried to insert the doll. Everybody loves the Barbie Doll cake & the most important is my eldest daughter IS very happy for her wishing been granted!
I baked this barbie cake for my 2nd daughter who celebrated her 4th b'day. Used 3 boxes of Betty Crockers. 2 boxes for the skirt mould (Wilton mould) & 1 box for the base of a 8" round pan. Vanilla buttercream frosting & decorated with 3 packets of marshmallow for the barbie skirt. It's simple & beautiful. My daughter is so proud that she keep telling/showing her friends & teachers that her mummy baked for her!
