Design was a mix of a picture a client showed me and my own ideas. Red velvet cake with cream cheese filling, covered in fondant.
This cake was for our friends "Sip & See", where friends could come and visit the new bundle of joy. I decided to make the cake in the shape of a onesie. Fondant exterior. Green velvet & cream cheese frosting interior. The "B" on the front is the first letter of the babys name.
6" pineapple cake covered in MMF with MMF "roses". Inspired by a cake I found on Flickr.
The idea behind this cake was entirely the customers. She wanted a diamond shaped cake covered in leopard print. I tinted the fondant a nude-color and hand painted the leopard print on.
The customer came to me with this design in mind. Thanks to all the wonderful corset cakes on Flickr and CC for the inspiration!
The mom wanted a "gender neutral" exterior and asked for me to dye the batter depending on what the gender was. She gave me the sealed note from the doctor which revealed it was a boy- so I dyed the batter blue! Cake inspired but other cakes on CC (Clothesline-theme)
This was my first attempt at the Shirt/Tie cake. I had a few problems with the tie but overall I'm pretty happy with the way it came out. It was a surprise for my dad on Fathers Day. Cake: Coconut Cake with Coconut Buttercream covered in Fondant.
Once again- thanks to inspiration from other CCers and Flickr, I was able to come up with this cake for a bridal shower. Colors selected by the matron of honor. Cake: Pink Velvet with CC Frosting.
Thanks to some inspiration from several CC cakes, I came up with this simple cake for our 4th of July party. It was definitely a hit, both for the design and the taste! TFL!
This was my 2nd tiered cake and only my 3rd time working with fondant. My cousin asked if I could make her cake and I gladly said Yes- the cake itself is WASC with cheesecake & fresh strawberry filling. Very yummy!
My friend asked me to bake a cake for the humans that attended her dogs 3rd birthday :) Using a few ideas from this site this is what I came up with. It's also my first time using fondant.
