Hello, this is my second wedding I have done. I wanted to make gumpaste daisies (even bought the cutter), but I just could not get the color to match the ribbon, so I went with the silk daisies. I like the silk ones even better. The bride was on a tight budget so I just made a 2 tier one with a separate kitchen cake for the remaining servings. TFL!
My sister is leaving her company that she has been at for quite a few years for a new job next week. Her co-workers called me and ordered a cake for her. I had the darnest time getting the colors to show up correctly in the pics. I tried both w/out flash and with. The picture with both the cookies and cake is dark due to the batteries in my camera died. The cake is my vanilla cake with raspberry filling and iced with vanilla butter cream. The cookies are chocolate sugar cookies with fondant. TFL!
absolutely love this cake. It is a surprise cake for my best friends birthday. We've been friends for 25 years since high school. The color combination is our high school colors, and we both have kids who go to the same high school. They are both involved in sports, mine in football and hers in the marching band. We were just talking about how our wardrobe is nothing but black, red, and white with all these fundraiser and parent t-shirts we have bought. I saw many templates on here for tiaras, so I thought I would give it a try instead of buying a plastic one. I didn't think it turned out too bad. I definitely will keep practicing on it since my niece is all about princesses. The design is based on the template by Dennyss.
