Baby Butt Cake
This was my first baby butt cake. I know it's pretty plain but it was well received. I baked the cake in a Pyrex glass bowl and torted the butter cake with strawberry mouse. Very good! It was surprisingly pretty easy to do. I thought the feet would be the hardest to make look real but after adding the toes it really came together. I will add more detail with my next one.

First Wedding Cake
Okay, I know this cake isn't the best. It was my first wedding cake and I had soo many issues with it. First off, I'm not the best at smoothing my frosting so that didn't look the best. My intentions were to stack the 4 cakes and decorate with flowers. At set-up, we went to put the second tier on and it started to tip!! So, the dowel rods were messed up then and it wouldn't sit right after that. So this is how we had to set it up. It was okay but the top cake slowly started to sink on one side, (as you can see), as the night went on. And it was soo humid in there that the frosting started to droop!! Aahhh!! I was so embaressed! Oh well, each one is a learning experience! I was hoping some kid would run into the table and it would fall over! :)

Baby Bump Cake
This was the second "Baby Bump" cake that I did. I tried it on an oval cake instead of the circle cake, like I did with the first one. I think I liked the first one better. But I added a belly button to this one. Once again, I used a Pryex bowl for the belly and muffins for the boobs. Everyone loved it! That's all that matters!

"belly Button Book" Cake
I did this cake for a friend. Her daughter was turning 1 and loved the book, "Belly Button Book". So I took a page from the book and tried to re-create it. Not my favorite cake that I have done but the hippos looked pretty close to the book. Everyone seemed to like it. Then I did a separate cake for the birthday girl with corresponding colors.

Dog Birthday Cake
This cake was for my son's first birthday. He loves dogs so I did a cake with that theme, I even added some dog poop! :) It was my very first decorated cake and I was pretty happy with it. A friend and I took the first Wilton class and then I have been self teaching since then. The cake is buttercream with fondant dogs and graham cracker house. Too bad he was too young to appriciate it!

Boy Baby Shower Cake
This was my first time using fondant. I was really nervous, but I really wanted to do a "baby bump" cake for a good friend. I was really impressed at how well it turned out, considering I am still pretty new at cake decorating. The belly is cake cooked in a Pyrex glass bowl and the boobs are muffins that I trimmed to make proportionate. Everyone loved it! It's always nice to hear someone ask, "Where did you get that cake at?!?!" :)
