I made this cake for a recent baby shower. The couple is expecting a baby girl so I added the pink egg to the nest. The cake was vanilla with strawberry buttercream filling and fondant covering. The nest is a 6 inch cake sculpted to the shape of a bird nest then covered in buttercream and finally covered in chocolate covered pretzels, which I made.
