I tried several times to make a gumpaste shoe with no success...so I just put a real one on the cake! Shoebox is covered in MMF and the top is styrofoam with real tissue paper.

1st birthday cake for my son. We call him "bug" as a nickname, so we made this one! I think I actually got the idea from another member on CakeCentral. I used half of the ball pan for each caterpillar section, and piped buttercream for the texture. My hand and forearm were SORE! :)
