The Laua Cake
This idea came from the wilton yearbook. A round cake with buttercream icing. Royal icing flowers around the side of the cake. The water is piping gel tinted blue and put over the icing. I added the volcano with the lava. my son had the little figurine and palm trees. I tried to make edible palm trees pt they didn't hold up, luckily I had these just in case! I made seashells out of candy melts and I used brown sugar for the sand.

Watermelon Cake
This was a simple watermelon cake that I had seen in the wilton yearbook. It was a round vanilla or white cake mix with food coloring added and chocolate chips for the seeds. Most of my "seeds" sank to the bottom while cooking so I added some in the top after it was done baking and the top trimmed. There are plenty of air holes to put them in. The side was covered in fondant. It was a fun cake to make.

Arrow Of Light Cake
This was a very long cake. I used a sheet cake and a square cake pan and added the square to the end of the sheet cake. The second layer the the arrow of light part. I wanted a more 3D approach to it. This was very difficult to carve and put icing on. I made an arrow out of fondant and added bronze shimmer dust to it.

The Wolf Cake
This is a round cake iced with buttercream. I got this idea from another user named spitefiresas21 (thanks). It has fondant foot prints around the side and a fondant blue background piece and rocks. The trees are icecream cones with piped royal icing with a star tip and pretzel rod for the base. The wolf and moon is fondant. The little thin brown tree is actually royal icing. The blue on the cake was a blue icing spray to give the faded look. The white part of the snow on the trees and ground is sifted confectioner's sugar that was sifted over the cake.

Thomas The Train Meets Cinderella
This cake was made for a little girl who loved Thomas the Train and Cinderella. She was having a birthday party with both characters, so this is what I came up with. There are 4 layers of cake stacked, 3 all the same size. I carved out a trail that swirled down the side of the cake to use for the train tracks. I made a castle to put on top. The turrets are ice cream cones iced with icing and cake sparkles added to them. The cake was iced with buttercream and the track and rocks are fondant. The flowers and leaves are royal icing. I added a bridge to go over the waterfall coming down the side of the hill. I piped vines on the side of the cake and added the flowers to it. Graham crackers crushed for the dirt around the waterfall. The trains and the Cinderella are bought.

The Care Bear Cake
This cake was made from round cakes iced with buttercream icing. I piped white clouds on the cake and used the jumbo star sprinkles for the stars. The rainbow slide was supported with popsicle sticks and cardstock paper. I used regular icing for the slide, however it would be best to use something stiffer like royal icing. The care bears are figurines that I bought. I made this cake in 2007 for my daughter's first birthday and she was ale to have the little cake for herself. I got the idea from another website and looks like there are a few on here that are very similar as well.

The Martini Cake
I got this idea from user cakenut516 from cakecentral. This is a stacked cake iced with buttercream. I decided to make my martini glass a little bigger and put liquid in the glasses. All martini glass and olives are edible and are made from fondant. It was my biggest challenge to make an edible martini glass and have it hold liquid which is actually red jello so I guess it would be a solid now.
