For my 9 year old neice who did NOT want a 'girly' cake! All buttercream.
First cake I'm getting paid for...I only charged $35 then got carried away.....I'm $50 in the hole easy! All icing is buttercream.
All Buttercream. I am doomed to BC as I can't do fondant! :( Taking a class next week...crossing my fingers.
Saw this cake on here....had to give it a try!
I have found when I make Buttercream with BUTTER, the Viva paper towel trick doesnt work! SO much to learn......
But I must say people absolutely freak out on this cake! And beware because it is REALLY hard to cut....plain M & M's seem to be easier than peanut!
Wanted an excuse to use my little baking pan.....the kids at Starbucks have been asking for MORE CAKE so I'm going to bring these to them. No great skill here...just lots of leftover icing! Happy 4th! Beth
A cake for my neice & nephew.....white cake with buttercream...nothing fancy...I'm only 3 months into this deal but loving it!
Just a good old 4th of July Cake, nothing spectacular.....I'm still in infant stages! Thank you to the ladies who have said encouraging things to me in my journey! LV Beth
Made this for a friend thats in Real Estate; she wanted to give cakes as a closing gift so I made a mock-up using an idea from a Wilton book.
Made this for my friend who had a group celebrating one year since they climbed Mt. Killamanjaro....had no idea what I was doing but we got lucky!
Made this for my friend Jim who is going to Japan, wrote 'Happy Birthday Jim' in Japanese and put some rolled fondant cigars...he loved it!
Found this in a Wilton book....decided against fondant....had it all smooth (like the bottom layer) and lost the middle in the transfer! Had to redo it in extreme heat...but I've only been doing this a month and thought it turned out pretty good!
