Aqua Ombre Petal Cake
The design of this cake was specifically requested to mirror one from Fem Cakes. The bottom tier is a 10-inch with more than 200 ruffled petals in aqua with a subtle ombre effect. The top tier is an 8-inch with quilting and a gumpaste bow. I got the "bling" ribbon from Michael's and the 17 on top is on a circle of fondant with melted candy melts spread on the back to provide strength since I procrastinated in making it! Thanks for looking.

Zebra Print Sheet Cake
The zebra print was fondant and I used fondant/gumpaste mix for the 'CC' and the birthday message on the front. All else is buttercream. I waited until the morning of to make the 'CC,' so I had to use some wire formed in the shape of the 'C' and wrapped in fondant, then stuck in a drinking straw for the backing of the letters. Putting them in the oven with the light on also helped to sturdy them up. Thanks for looking.

Sports-Themed Baby Shower Cake
This was a half sheet cake with a sports theme, which included baby Converse out of gumpaste, a basketball pacifier, and baseball cap in the back. The baby blocks were made out of Rice Krispie treats, which I covered in buttercream and then attached pre-cut fondant squares. I used fondant to trim each side and decorate the blocks. Thanks for looking.

Two-Sided Roller Skating Birthday Cake For A Brother And A Sister
A co-worker of my husband wanted a roller skating-themed cake for her son and daughter's joint birthday party. This is what I created for them. One half of the cake is decorated in blue fondant accents for the boy and the other half is pink and purple for the girl. The roller skate was cut from gumpaste and the two sides were "glued" together with white chocolate and doweled into the cake. Thanks for looking.

R2D2 Cake
This was an R2D2 cake made for a family member's groom's cake. The legs are not edible. I used Stacked Cakes information on how they did their version as a jumping off point. My friend has a mini-R2D2 robot so I was able to use that to make molds for some of the more intricate accents. Thanks for looking.

Turkey Cupcakes
Turkey cupcakes inspired by many I have seen online, including ones by MyCakeSchool.com. I used tip 104 for the "feathers" and a small bowling pin mold to make the turkey bodies out of chocolate. I used sugar pearls for the eyes and colored the pupils in with a food coloring pen. Buttercream was used for the beaks and red candy melts were used for the gobblers. They were pumpkin cupcakes with cinnamon buttercream. Thanks for looking!

1973 Dodge Charger Se Cake
Carved cake to replicate a 1973 Dodge Charger Special Edition car. It is vanilla cake covered in fondant with fondant tires made for a friend's 50th birthday. Things got a bit rushed at the end, so it's got quite a few flaws, but the recipient enjoyed it. Followed Mike McCarey's Cakenology DVD for guidance on carving a car cake. Thanks for looking.

Vw Bus Cake
I made this cake for my husband's birthday. It is the model of VW bus that was in production the year he was born (1977). It's covered in fondant with edible images for the windows, decals, and license plates. I ended up rushing to get it done and had to put fondant behind the wheels to keep it from tipping over! But it held up pretty good and he really loved it.

30Th Birthday Golf Cake
Ten-inch round golf-themed cake covered in fondant with fondant/gumpaste accents. Top was inspired by a photo I was given (don't know the original decorator) and the argyle pattern around the sides and back of the cake was inspired by several cakes here on CC, including one by emiyeric. Thank you.
