Super Mario Galaxy Father's Day
When I asked my husband what kind of cake he wanted for Father's Day, he said Pokey and Wiggler from Super Mario Galaxy (not Mario or Luigi... Pokey and Wiggler) So, this is what I came up with. I added a Cataquack just because the Wiggler world needed something else. The little balls are Oreo truffles covered in fondant.

Rollerskating Hello Kitty
Rollerskating Hello Kitty Birthday Cake for a friend's daughter who loves pink and purple (and Hello Kitty, of course) The party is at a skating rink, so I decided to use candy melts to make a rollerskating Hello Kitty sucker as a topper. I also made 30 Hello Kitty Cookies with pink and purple bows to go with the cake.

Pokemon Cake And Cookies
Pokemon cake with pokeball and cookies (Regice, Regifire and Regielectric - two of them aren't "real," so I had to draw them in Photoshop because I couldn't find any high quality images of them. Ah, the things you learn decorating cakes...) Characters are printed on frosting sheets.

Have You Beer... And Eat It, Too
Beer barrel cake for a "hillbilly" themed picnic. Completely edible sugar beer bottles (root beer flavored) and ice. (Bottle molds were made with a food-safe silicone putty. Ice made using a regular ice cube tray) Custom bottle labels printed on frosting sheets and bottle caps made with Candy Melts. Barrel is made of chocolate around two 9" round cakes. Wood grain made using a wood graining tool (like you would use on paint) with a dark chocolate, then pouring a lighter chocolate over it. So... you can have your beer... and eat it, too!
