Jungle Babies Cake
The theme for my daughters baby shower was Jungle Babies. I designed a cake that was a jungle scene with numerous fondant baby animals - an elephant, giraffe, a hippo taking a dip in the river, crocodile and snakes, etc. Her favorite animal is a penguin so I also made a pair of vacationing penguins (complete with luggage). Nestling asleep in top of the tree was a tiny fondant baby sleeping. The cake featured multiple fondant flowers, chocolate "rocks", sand made of amaretti cookies. The tree was constructed of rice crispie treats and the leave of the tree were each attached with toohtpicks holding them to give depth to the next row.

Princess Belle
Cake was made for 4yr old birthday girl who was having her party coincide with Halloween party. She was to be dressed as Belle so we tried to make the doll cake to match her. The two bottom tiers are brick walls and drapes. Hanging on the "walls" are banners with photos of some of the characters. For some reason the humidity and heat rose like crazy this afternoon so you will see many places where fondant is drooping. Note to self: Check weather channel prior to decorating.

Abstract Peacock
All I knew about the girl this cake was made for was that she has a lot of tattoos. Somehow, ribbons, bows and flowers just did not seem to fit. I think a peacock is a heavily adorned bird - just as a person with tons of tatts would be heavily adorned too. (It was all I could come up with)
