This is a display/dummy cake that I made for my in-law's 50th anniversary party. Their wedding colors were white & blue, but I went with ivory/off white and blue. Fondant with RI scroll & cornelli lace. I wasn't completely thrilled with my diamond pattern...didn't have the cake on a level surface when I pressed the design in so parts of it are 'off' a bit. I'll know better for next time. TFL!
WASC with rasberry filling and lemon buttercream. First time attempting this style of cake. I should have let it settle longer with the filling since you can see at the bottom that it's bulging a bit. But, it was fun to do. First attempt at Duff roses too. TFL!
Dark chocolate fudge cake w/strawberry filling & chocolate BC icing. Royal icing flowers. I was going for a light tiffany blue but took the pictures at night so there's not as much contrast as I would like. TFL!

Made this cake as practice for a bump cake due later this week. It was my first attempt, and it doesn't look half bad. Used the polka dots to hide some imperfections in teh fondant Learned a couple of things along the way & hopefully the next one will go smoothly!

I wanted to try using MMF, so I used a (very) thin 5" cake, torted & filled with cream cheese filling. After the main layer of MMF was on, I was just playing with shapes. It was fun!
My first attempt at an icing plaque for my son's 14th birthday. He loved it!
