Something I did for my mom.
I wanted to do something other than the Scooby Doo shaped cake. This is what I came up with. For her actual cake moment, we put more Scooby Doo characters around the cake.
The S was made with fondant. Did this for a friend who is a huge Superman fan.
I used the bear face pan from Wilton. The whiskers were make with dry spaghetti that I frosted. Pretty basic, but I loved how it turned out.
I used peanut M&Ms for the little spiders, a cupcake covered in frosting and then sprinkles for the big spider and then chocolate Twizzlers for the legs. The eyes on the spider were plain M&Ms with frosting for the details.
Chocolate cake, basketweave buttercream on sides. I had planned on a lot more chocolate covered strawberries for the top - enough to fill the top - however, out of season at the time and that's what I had.
Simple to make. Buttercream frosting on cake. Pink & white balls were of fondant. Sugar cones for the "towers." Fun to make!
Made this for my daughter's troop - court of awards ceremony at the end of the year. Made the faces to match the girls.
Basic idea that turned out pretty cute. Buttercream frosting on the cake. The sash was made with fondant I colored brown. I attached the actual GS patches by applying them first to wax paper (just used tape). I then wet the fondant to attach the wax paper.
