The bride and groom love Talavera pottery and tiles from Mexico. Their wedding and reception was at an upscale Mexican restaurant so I did a three tiered, lime coconut flavored wedding cake with a different Talavera design on each tier. In lieu of a topper, I did two Talavera style swallows circling together on the top. It was a huge hit! This was also my first wedding cake and attempt at stacking cakes. Tiers are 12", 9" and 6".
