Sled Hockey Birthday / Graduation Cake
My first cake for the Icing Smiles program. The cake was made for a young lady named Christina for her 18th Birthday/Graduation party. Christina is battling Cancer, but still remains active with the Ohio Sled Hockey Team as Goalie. Christina said her dream cake would be something to do with Sled Hockey and that incorporated her jersey number 27. She also said she loves pink. I created a huge hockey puck with her team logo, a jersey, and a very pink birthday cake complete with 18 sugar candles.

Peacock Feather Purse
The client sent me a photo of a purse with a stitched peacock feather. I bounced around a few different ideas on how to achieve the feather and ended up piping it with buttercream and hand painting it. I did a little bit of a brush embrodery technique on the eye of the feather. I really loved how this cake turned out. The client loved it too. She said she refused to cut it!

My First Cake Using The Cricut Cake
This was made for a beauticians birthday. I cut the trim and the letters with my new Cricut Cake. The daisys were cut with a cutter and I free handed the hair dryer. For some reason my fondant came out horrible all week. I had lumps and bumps everywhere after the cake sat.

35 Anniversary, Pets And Kids
This was made for a 35th anniversary. The daughter of the couple ordered the cake and requested all of thier family pets as well as her and her siblings be on the cake. I was given a photo of all the creatures and the kids dress as they are. I created all the figures from gumpaste and painted all the animals. The top had a gumpaste "35", but it wasnt dry for the photo. Trim on each tier was made to look like dog colors.
