Map Of Eastern Usa
To celebrate 66th birthday, I did a map of Royal Icing of the eastern USA with a road from his travel from Nova Scotia to Florida. Cake is white chocolate pound cake with cream cheese and raspberry filling. BC on top. I did the RI map on wax paper and then placed it on the cake- FIRST TIME- and didn't take into account the map was perfectly flat, and the cake was not. It ended up breaking several times. Any advice as to how to avoid this in the future is welcome! The "route 66" sign (his name is Bridge, so I made a play on words) was also RI placed on the cake after it was dry was perfect, as were the words that I piped using wax paper overlay and traced printed words that were under the wax. I froze it ahead of time, defrosted it in the car on the way here, and decorated it the next day. It was wonderfully moist and delicious!

Baptism For 8 Year Old Boy
Thanks to PATTICAKESNC for the "Amazing Chocolate Cake" and momtofourmonkeys for the Crusting Chocolate Buttercream. I used a 9x13 and used the areas that I cut out to make petite fours and used Chocolate Poured Fondant to cover. My first attempt at petite fours, and turned out a little sloppy. But very delicious!!
