I made this for a fireman who was turning 30, his partner gave me a picture of his actual truck to replicate she wanted his numbers on there too. The cake itself is buttercake with buttercream frosting. MMF was used on the exterior of the cake. I used a ribbon and wire for the water flow.
A friend asked me to make a cake for her son's 21st which was on Halloween. We looked through cake central for ideas and settled on the cake she wanted. The coffin is a triple layered butter cake covered in buttercream icing, the decorations are all sculptured with MMF and the dirt is orea cookies put through a processor. It was so much fun to make, I have never done this theme before, can't wait till someone wants the next one!
My son asked for a Optimus Prime cake for his 6th Birthday. After looking at other OP cakes on here I got a few ideas. The cake is vanilla with chocolate buttercream, over the top is MMF. The entire Optimus Prime is MMF, I couldn't handle the thought of carving him out as a cake, so I sculptured instead, much easier.
I made this for my sons 4th birthday. It's not how I wanted it to turn out but I was flat out with organising the party with 40 children coming that I had to let it go and just be happy with how it was. I didn't get a chance to fix a lot of imperfections but so be it. The van is made out of marshmallow fondant with buttercream bonding interior. The base is buttercream with a fondant sign and crushed oreo cookies as the road. I used an icing sheet cake topper cut out to fit for the windscreen.
This cake was made for one of my sons when he turned 4. It's entirely covered in BC and decorated with jelly bellys and curly wurlys. The sails were photo paper.
I made this for my husbands 34th birthday. The bun is covered in BC, the lettuce is MMF, tomato is round biscuits covered in red icing, onion rings are rolled out jelly beans cut to shape and the cheese are orange fruit chews put in the microwave for 5 seconds then rolled out and cut to shape. The meat part is covered in buttercream and crushed oreos and chocolate biscuits. The sesame seeds are pine nuts and the olive is two green jubes stuck together and a bit of red licorice. It was a lot of fun to put together and was pretty simple.
This was my first official MMF cake, I had always used buttercream in the past and couldn't wait to give it a go. My friend requested I make a My littlest pet shop cake for her daughters 6th birthday. It was a butter cake with vienna buttercream frosting interior with MMF exterior, the grass was done with a grass tip and royal icing. The balloons and toys are plastic. I used cutters for the flowers and they were the most time consuming!
