Cake for 30th bday surprise. Told 'elegant' and 'do whatever'. This is the design I came up with. Double chocolate cake brushed with espresso/kahlua syrup, filled with tiramisu filling, frosted in chocolate and regular buttercream. All edible fondant decorations aside from a little thread in the pearls.
Yellow gluten-free cake with fresh strawberry filling, frosted in buttercream. Made my first gumpaste teacup and saucer as a topper.
Had to give these a try after seeing them online. Did chocolate cake coated in white and dark chocolate. Realized they shouldn't go in the fridge after dipping, or not for long anyways, had some condensation issues.
