Dragon Cake
Thanks to the creators of many dragon cakes I saw in the galleries (sorry I don't remember exactly who did the ones I looked at). This was for my son's 2nd birthday, so I was going for a cartoon-ish look. It was just a simple yellow cake. I made a light green buttercream, then used the Wilton color spray to make it darker. The pics show off all the flaws, but I was very happy with the way it looked in real life. I added the chocolate plaque later.

Christy's Birthday Cake
A bit lumpy and shooting the picture at 1AM didn't do anything to enhance the pic. I used a loaf pan, but if I try this again, I'm going to use a larger sheet cake and build up the box instead. Also, used a marble cake, but the chocolate portions seemed to not "stick together" as well as the yellow. Live and learn.

Noah's Ark
My second cake. I didn't get a final assembled shot because I transported it without the animals attached. My chocolate frosting was a bit runny, but otherwise I was pleased. The animals were chocolate transfers ... which I had lots of practice with since my 3 year old kept eating them! I made the ark out of an 8" round cake cut in half and also trimmed the bottom cake from a 9x13.
