We all have those points where we STOP doing favors. This was my last. Constructed of 21 cakes 12"x15". 5 flavors cake/fill (RVelvet/WChoc; Vanil,/Raspberry; Choc/German; Spice/Pumpkin; Carrot/Cheesecake). Cake is 24"Wx30"Lx18.5"H. Board is 30"x40". So far, this 'favor' has earned me about $0.12/hour including costs.... By far my greatest acheivement so far. I learned a lot of lessons with this one and had a lot of trial and error. All cobblestone is hand tooled with veiner. Only non edible part is the pvc piping in the towers (I broke about 10 towers and resorted to the pipe the morning of the wedding). BC grass, gel water, the rest is all HM MMF. This cake took over 30lbs powd. sugar, 16lbs MM, 6 doz. eggs, 2L oil, and the list goes on! Coming out of a home kitchen this was my best acheivement yet :-)
My first doll cake. I made this one for my daughter's 6th birthday. It ended up being 3 1/2 layers vanilla cake with one filling fresh blueberries and the other layer filling was fresh strawberries and banana's with a strawberry glaze. MMF Dress and hairbow. The top of the dress was quite a challenge. I lightly dusted the gown with gold LD and painted the top with gold LD and vodka.
I love creating the look of wood! The first picture is the top to a casket I am making. The rest are of three bridges I made for a recent wedding cake I did. I made three so the bride could choose which she liked best. All MMF, hand tooled, brushed and painted. I took enough pictures of the process I use to do a tutorial if that would be something of interest.
Hadn't planned on this one. I was playing around and made a hat. It looked lonely and needed a head. But then it looked too neat to not have a body. So now I have a cute little witch and nothing to use her with. She was fun to do anyhow!
Made these from 100% MMF. They were ordered for cupcakes and ended up not getting used. They were a lot of fun to make though and always welcome the practice.
This one I did for my sister in-laws birthday. She's a huge fan of tigger. I drew it onto the cake with a toothpic using my daughters workbook as a guide. The picture I worked from was about an inch tall. All buttercream.
This cake I did for a little girls birthday. She loves horses and her new horse is named Dreamer. Fencing is MMF, grass is BC, water is blue piping gel and the horses trees and small fence on top are plastic toys provided by the childs mother who requested they be used. The horse looks just like 'Dreamer'.
This is my 5th (I think) all fondant cake with exception of the border. My first time doing mini cakes. The blocks are cake. The fondant is homemade MMF. I didn't quite make enough though so I had to roll it thin and unfortunately it's a little lumpy from that. The blocks took the most time. The baby blanket was the most fun!

This is my second try at a high heel made from MMF. It's on a slightly larger scale than the first, I am working on these for a girls night theme for cupcakes and mini cakes.
These little guys are my second and third tries at making little puppies. I must give credit to Lorraine as I closely followed her tutorial found on Youtube. Amazing tutorials!
This cake was a suprise for one of the executives within our company. I got the inspiration from the Wilton baby bottle cake however this one is much larger and custom carved. It is chocolate/vanilla marble cake 6 layers thick with 5 layers of vanilla filling and iced completely with buttercream. It was such a huge hit at the baby shower I had an order for another one a week later :-)
This cake I made my fiance for his 26th birthday. I really wanted to make it special for him. Custom carved, no special pans. Everything edible except the spring supports, a couple toothpicks holding spare tire and mirrors and the foliage. My first attempt ever at a 3D cake complete with scenery. The mountains are the cake that was carved away covered with BC and chocolate rocks. The road is brown sugar sifted onto BC icing to make the look and feel of sand. Please, Ideas to make it better???
This was for my friends 28th Birthday. It's an Insane Clown Posse (music group) "Hatchetman" logo. She's a very big ICP fan and her boyfriend wanted a custom cake of this nature. There's no pan for this so I first sketched it in wax paper to scale, then drew it onto the cake and carved it out. I used (2) 9x13 cakes for this.
This is my first try at a poker theme and I was given less than 24hours notice! I have about 4 hours invested into this. The cards I painted on my breaks at work. The entire cake is lightly dusted with gold luster dust that made it look awesome however didn't turn out in the pictures. Overall I don't think I could have done any better with such short notice. This is one of two cakes ordered at the last minute for his suprise party. The other was Angelfood cake with strawberries 'n' cream.
