Thank you to all of the elmo cakes I looked at and got ideas from! It's certainly not an original design as you can look through the galleries and find dozens of cakes that look just like this but it's such a great idea and it was my first time doing a fondant plaque. I think it turned out great and the birthday boy loved it! :] Vanilla cake with vanilla icing.

I used a Wilton Leaf Cutter, I figured what the heck, it's worth a shot! Might use this on an upcoming cake might not but it was definitely not as hard as I thought! :] Can't wait to do more! I used straight fondant as that's all I had at the house!

My son's first birthday cake! Mine and my hubby's first attempt at stacking a cake, we learned a lot, and I'm hoping that when I come downstairs tomorrow it's still standing! Not exactly how we envisioned it but it was so much fun making the animals for this cake together! TFL!

My first cake for people outside my family! Sylvia Weinstock's Classic Yellow Cake with Indy's BC. The figures are 50/50 gumpaste and fondant, the letters are fondant! Everyone loved it, I was SO nervous about it since it's my first 'for real' cake that anyone is going to see/taste outside of my family.
I made this out of extra fondant I had from a cake, I only spend a couple minutes on it but I will take all the practice I can get! My first fondant animal :]
