Bottom tier is a carved 8 inch square cake, 4 layers, 8 inches tall, alternating chocolate and white cake, with chocolate ganache between each layer, iced in blue butter cream, with a fondant bow and fondant polka dots. Top tier is a carved 6 inch round white cake, 6 1 inch layers of white cake with blueberry filling between each layer, iced in lemon butter cream with blue and white fondant accents. A 3 inch banana cupcake smash cake, decorated with fondant, and two fondant characters finish off this cake.
This is my very first wedding cake! 6 by 6 inch top tier, 8 by 4 inch middle tier 10 by 5 inch bottom tier. Each tier was covered in fondant and trimed with a satin ribbon. Most of this cake is fake, since the bride doesn't like cake but was getting a lot of complaints from the MIL's for not having a cake at the wedding. Only the top two inches of the bottom tier is real cake. The rest is fake. Another first for me on this cake was the gumpaste flowers. Thanks for looking everyone!

8 inch chocolate cake iced in blue butter cream. Toy story characters woody, buzz and jessie made out of fondant. The board is covered and hand marked to look like wood flooring. There are white "toy story" clouds cut from fondant covering the cake. A ribbon of white fondant at the bse of the blue icing mimics the base board on a wall. I made this cake for a very good friend who has been fighting cancer for almost a year. This cake was given to him on the day he had his (hopefully) last brain scan to see if the cancer was gone. Either way, if it was gone or not, my hope was that the cake would bring my friend, his wife and their two little girls (ages 1 and 4) at least a little laughter on such a stressful day. My friend LOVED the cake even though they ended up having to wait until the next day to find out the results of the scan! The results came back this morning and I am happy to say that it appears he is now cancer free!

The moon was made using the Wilton ball pan and covered in gray marshmallow fondant. 8 inch and 10 inch two layer cakes, frosted in blue tinted butter cream, than sprayed with wilton's blue color mist. Silver edible stars were sprinkled onto the surface of the cake. The rocket and the UFO were made of RKT covered in fondant. This was a 40th Birthday cake for a biology professor at the University. He works primarily with South African Clawed Frogs so his wife wanted them to be the focus of the cake. The tad pole development is also very important in his research so there are a few of them on the cake as well. She wanted it to have a minimalist/contemporaty/masculine feel so this is what I came up with. The cake is a 6 in., 8 in. , 10 in. oval tiers stacked to one side with a 12 inch oval base. All the tiers are frosted in butter cream with fondant and gum paste accents. The frogs, "murky" pond waters and cat tail plants are hand painted. Thanks for looking!

I just finished this cake for a baby shower. The throwers of the shower didn't really have a theme so they just wanted something with a baby girl theme. I chose to go with pink, magenta, white and cream for the colors. The cake is a 6 inch round white cake with lemon butter cream filling and icing. This is a cake I made for my son's 4th birthday. The volcano is RKT covered in MMF. There is a test tube sunken into the volcano which held small pieces of dry ice so that the volcano smoked! All the dinosaurs, cave people, rocks, clouds, leaves and birthday banner are made from MMF. Each tier is iced with BC.
This is a cake I made for my niece's 4th birthday. The main part of the castle is RKT, the towers are plastic cake dowles, all covered in Marzipan. All the characters on the cake are made from Marzipan. The path, pond, trees and the top two tiers of the cake (dumby cake made from styrofoam to add height to the cake) are covered in MMF. My sister doesn't like the taste of fondant so the sheet cake (bottom) is iced in BC.
