Bug Cake

"We're Buggy for Books!" cake for local library's Story Time End of Year party. Inspired by JCrocker's Bug cake. 1/2 white 1/2 chocolate sheet cake. Iced with BC, then hand sculpted bugs out of MMF. Path is graham cracker crumbs. TFL!

1/2 sheet cake - 1/2 chocolate 1/2 white w/ fresh strawberry cream filling. Bible and Rosary are made out of fondant, everything else is BC. Bible is a box, not cake. Didn't seem right to be able to eat the Bible. heehee

Confirmation Cross Cookies

Instead of putting 18 names on a cake for the confirmation kids, I decided to make each one of them a cookie to place around the cake. These are based on a cookie that was posted earlier today. Those cookies look much better than mine. However, this was my first attempt at NFSC base, first attempt at using Royal Icing, first attempt at freehanding a cookie template, and first attempt at decorating a cookie like this. All in all, I am very happy with how they came out! TFL!
