For my grandmothers 80th birthday. covered in fondant. wedding ring pattern and ruffle border are buttercream. it took forever to get the quilt pattern to line up right. I have a new respect for my grandma and her quilting.

I did change up the ground and hills from most cakes on the sight to reflect the new wii version of the game.

For a zoo birthday party. I had so much fun making this one. Bamboo fence is packaged cookies, water is piping gel, palm trees are fondant leaves stuck to pretzels with royal icing, pretty much everything else is fondant. I have to give credit to my great friend "lfcrt" for making the monkey, alligator, giraffe, and zebra. Inspired by several CC cakes.
For our neighborhood blockparty. My 7 year old daughter insisted that the cake have ants and made them herslef. Got a little bumped up carrying it down the street. :-(
This was for teacher appreciation luncheon. Theme was go texan. Bluebonnets are buttercream, hat is half fondant, half gum paste, everything else is fondant. Red stars and Texas cut out were a total after thought. When I put everything together it just had way to much white so I was looking to add more color. Cake is Italian Cream with cream cheese icing. Flavored the MMF with cheese cake flavoring and that is way yummy. I think I will be using that flavoring any time I am serving fondant to adults.

My first ever attempt at basket weave. Had to cheat on the bunny, cross, and eggs (got them at walmart) because I was running low on time. We had 5 families over for Easter lunch. The fondant handle unfortunatly broke before the cake was served. I used several other cakes on here for inspiration.
All fondant. Used wilton daisy cutters.
For my sons birthday. All buttercream.
My first topsy turvy cake. Layers were 8", 6", & 4". My advice for next time - bake a dense cake. :-)
This was actually my daughter's birthday cake. She wanted a "Christmas Party" theme for her March birthday. :-) Bottom layer is iced in buttercream, the rest is fondant except for the trees. They are candy melts.
